Just bear with me, because my inner nerd/science geek is
about to come out fully.
Being it's the fourth week of the semester, the tests have
began to trickle in. Today was my first in my cell bio class (it went as well
as a test can go) and I have spent the last few days heavily immersing myself
in prokaryotes and eukaryotes and proteins and amino acids, etc. I also have
been consuming large amounts of coffee with little sleep (as a matter of fact,
I had my first experience with espresso shots and it was wonderful). But while
I was studying, I was just amazed at the intricacy of the cell. I know I have
studied it before, but it just floored me at the amount of detail is involved
in the 10-100 micrometers of the animal cell.
Have you ever just sat in awe, thinking, "Our God is
just astounding!" The way He designed this little substance to do so much
is just so awesome and cool. This is especially evident in how each part has
their function and performs their tasks on their own because of the way God
designed it. Even if you don't like science or don't understand a word I'm
talking about, you must be amazed at the detail and design of each and every
one of us down to the cell and the functions performed by it. These thoughts
bring to mind this verse from Psalm 139:13
"For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my
mother's womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made."
Thanks for bearing with me while my nerd side came out just
a little, but I had to share with you the greatness of our God and His design
of us!
